Why this is New Orleans’ last home date for a while
The Saints’ official Week 5 preview describes Sunday as the last game of a three-game homestand and New Orleans’ final home contest until it hosts Cleveland on November 8. Between those dates, the team is scheduled to visit the New York Giants in Week 6 and play Pittsburgh in France in Week 7.
That puts the Vikings game in a useful place on the Saints’ calendar: it is the final date of the home stretch before consecutive road games. The schedule detail is unusual, but it does not change the confirmed matchup or kickoff.
